The Killing of Christopher Faulkner

Chris’s MemorialA small English town is in shock and mourning at the killing of a local young man. Christopher Faulkner, 20, of Stevenage, was attacked besides the town’s cricket club last Monday at 7pm. He died later in hospital of a single stab wound to the chest.

British Mediums Predict Dark Future

British mediums marched on Downing Street last week to deliver a 10,000-name petition demanding that the government shelves plans to repeal the Fraudulent Mediums Act of 1951. This act allows for the prosecution of any medium, clairvoyant or spiritualist who use trickery in attempt to deceive and make money from such a deception. However, the act recognizes and protects 'genuine' mediums.

Peggy Whitson Sets Space Record

Peggy Whitson has completed 192 days on the International Space Station (ISS). In doing so she notched up 377 days in space, setting the record for most time in space for a US astronaut. The previous record of 374 days was held by Michael Foale.

Expedition 16 Commander Whitson, the first female commander of ISS, landed in Kazakhstan on Saturday along with Flight Engineer and Soyuz Commander, Yuri Malenchenko and South Korean So-yeon Yi.

NASA Extends Cassini-Huygens Mission

NASA has extended the hugely successful Cassini-Huygens mission to Saturn another two years and sixty orbits. The mission, originally due to end Jul. 2008, has already run for over a decade.
